Every transaction on CONCRYT's network now passes through its new monitoring system, with AI helping flag anomalies and guide daily routing choices
Barcelona, Spain, 8 September 2026: CONCRYT, a global payments technology provider, has extended agentic AI across its live payment infrastructure, expanding the technology's role beyond simple chatbot functions into ongoing, hands-on monitoring of its gateway.
Over the last eight months, every transaction handled by CONCRYT—more than three million in total—has passed through the company's newly built monitoring system. The tool keeps constant watch over payment flows, financial metrics, operational thresholds, and merchant behavior, flagging irregularities and helping the operations team pinpoint their probable causes.
The system currently runs on roughly 100 monitoring rules, with certain checks executed as often as every minute. It also tracks approval rates and, if performance dips unexpectedly, notifies staff and suggests where to redirect traffic. CONCRYT applies these routing changes on a daily basis to keep approval rates as high as possible.
So far this year, the operations team has held over 2,000 exchanges with the AI assistant across CONCRYT's admin panel, Slack, and Telegram, addressing topics ranging from traffic irregularities to payment trends and specific transaction queries.
This expansion builds on the large language model (LLM) analytics features CONCRYT rolled out to its payment gateway earlier in the year. Those tools let merchants query their payment data directly and get real-time answers through the admin panel and Telegram, while the operational monitoring system runs continuously in the background—tracking agreed-upon metrics and handling repeat tasks automatically, without needing a fresh prompt each time.
Agentic AI—systems capable of taking action rather than just responding to queries—is becoming more common throughout financial services. The Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance's 2026 Global AI in Financial Services Report found that 52% of firms are actively rolling out the technology, with fintech companies outpacing traditional institutions (57% versus 45%). Just 23% of respondents, however, have progressed from pilot programs to full-scale deployment. CONCRYT's system is already running across its live payment environment.
Andrii Shevchuk, CTO & Co-Partner at CONCRYT, commented: "A payment gateway produces more signals every day than any operations team could realistically monitor by hand. The challenge is identifying the small number that need attention early enough to act.
"By combining continuous monitoring with AI-assisted investigation, our team can move much faster from spotting a change to understanding what is causing it. The system can analyse traffic, identify a drop in approval rates and recommend where volume could be moved, while the final decision remains with our people."
